The Hepolite story begins in 1907 when Hepworth and Grandage was formed. The company moved to Bradford in 1916 and so began an incredible manufacturing journey that produced engineering components for numerous automotive and motorcycle applications for decades to come.
At their height the company were producing over a million piston rings a week from their St. John’s Works base in Bradford, which covered 90,000 square feet and housed over 500 production machines. In the early 1960’s a new factory in Sunderland was constructed, with a complete ring shop and foundry that would eventually make all Hepolite piston rings.
Today, Hepolite produces and distributes Pistons, Piston Rings, Cylinder Liners, Valves & Valve Guides and other high quality engine components for both classic and modern vehicles. All parts are designed in the UK and manufactured in global OEM facilities that are certified to TS16949 quality standards.
To compliment the original replacement parts, Hepolite also produces a full range of pistons rings in sizes to suit all popular brands of forged pistons including CP, IAPEL, Omega, Wiseco, Wossner MAHLE Motorsport and many others.
With steel nitrided compression rings, napier 2nd rings and the preferred high performance 3 pieces steel oil control rings, HEPOLITE Racing Rings are guaranteed to perform at least as well as the parts supplied with your pistons. All racing rings are manufactured in Japan or the USA.
